Maya Chia creates beautiful products for the skin and hair. I was delighted to work with them creating these 120mm film images for their products. “En plein air” fashion, we took to the beach at Sullivan’s Island, and made these images without any modifiers or strobes. Medium format film distributes light and shadows so beautifully and I felt like these images encapsulate all of those favorite qualities for me. And Kodak Portra really shines here, with the bright blue sky and sand / rock elements. I loved making these!
